As you are aware we are a family run business that has been independent since inception over 40 years ago. Our primary business is and will remain retreading, but since making the decision to become a full service tyre dealer offering a complete range of products and services, we have found that there is often a conflict of interests with many new tyre manufacturers and/or contract management providers, due to preferential terms and rebates offered by some manufacturers.
This can leave an independent such as ourselves marginalised in trying to deliver a premium service and product package that is not sustainable over the long term, as well as the end user potentially not receiving the best value in terms of total tyre cost of ownership. This, as you know is a differentiating benefit we always strive to deliver as an independent retreader through managing the new tyre over its entire new and retread lives to deliver best value to the end user.
As Giti Truck & Bus operates a strategy of only supplying via selected quality independent tyre dealers, we feel confident in offering the GT brand as our recommended ‘value’ brand of choice. Further, our own analysis along with that of our fleet customers, confirms that the GT new truck tyre consistently delivers real value in terms of a cost per mile which compares very favourably with many premium and mid-range brands we have had extensive experience of over many years.
Finally, of course, the casing itself completes the value package through being of a consistent high grade for our retread process where we utilise a range of application specific tread products to further extend tyre life and reduce total operating costs for our end user and fleet customers.
